01Who we are
Codex: Bulk Discount Codes ("the app", "we", "us") is a Shopify app for creating and managing discount codes. This policy covers the app and this website. If you have a question about it, write to info@menemen.io.
02What we collect
When you install the app, Shopify shares some information with us, and the app stores what you create in it:
- Store details: your store's name, Shopify domain, contact email, currency, time zone and which plan you're on.
- Staff details: the name and email of the staff member using the app, as Shopify provides them, so a discount's history can show who changed what.
- What you make in the app: discounts, codes, tags, saved views, settings, and any note you type when you give out a code.
- Email addresses you add for notifications, such as the email that tells you a code import has finished.
- Order details for reports, on plans that include them and only after you allow the app to read orders: order number, date, totals, what each code took off and which items it applied to.
About your customers, the app stores only Shopify's customer ID on orders that used one of your codes. It never stores your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses or payment details, and the customer ID is removed automatically two years after the order.
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers.
03How we use it
- To run the app: create discounts and codes in your store, hand them out and show your reports.
- To send the emails you ask for, such as when a code import finishes.
- To check your plan with Shopify, which handles all billing.
- To answer you when you contact support.
- To keep the app secure and to find and fix problems.
We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't build profiles of you or your customers.
04We never sell your data
We don't sell, rent or trade any data: not yours, not your staff's and not your customers'. We don't share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we never will.
06How we keep it safe
- Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS), between you, the app and Shopify.
- Each store's data is kept separate, and the app only ever acts on the store it was opened from.
- We ask Shopify only for the permissions the app needs, and order access is optional.
- Access to our systems and databases is limited to the people who need it to run the app.
No system can be perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we'll tell you without undue delay, along with what happened and what we're doing about it.
07How long we keep it
- While the app is installed, we keep what it needs to work.
- Customer IDs on orders are removed two years after the order.
- When you uninstall, Shopify asks us 48 hours later to erase your store's data, and we delete everything we stored for your store.
- When one of your customers asks your store to erase their data, Shopify tells us and we delete the orders we hold for that customer.
08Your customers' data
For your customers' data, you're in charge and we act on your behalf. If a customer asks your store what it holds about them, Shopify passes the request to us and we email you what the app has, so you can answer them.
09Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to info@menemen.io and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're in the EU, the UK or another place with data protection law, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
